The Climate Clock

The Climate Clock is inspired by the Doomsday Clock, which has been tracking the risk of global man-made disasters, such as those caused by nuclear weapons, since 1947. The Doomsday Clock illustrates the minutes and seconds remaining until “midnight,” symbolizing catastrophe, with the climate crisis playing a minor role in its calculations. In contrast, the Climate Clock focuses solely on the climate crisis, highlighting it as the most pressing and significant existential threat humanity faces.
